The Wine Room: Kitchen & Bar - A Review!

A new wine bar opened up on Atlantic Ave in Delray (ah!) and naturally I was there within a week of it opening. It is in a HUGE space, full restaurant, full bar, and many many of those enomatic wine dispensing fancy machines. This is a similar concept to N2 Wine Bar which closed a few years ago in Pineapple Grove - you load a card with as much money as you want, and use the card in the machines to taste whatever red or white you'd like - in 1 oz, 3 oz and 6 oz pours.

The food is great, the service is a little slow/inexperienced, and I really believe the space is just overly large. I WANT this place to work out and stay for the long haul, but my seasoned (and slightly pessimistic!) view is that it may not execute well in the long term.

One of the big selling points of this place is that they have a HUGE cheese counter, and you can make your own cheese/charcuterie boards with their massive selection.

August 2019:

Came here with my mom for happy hour to check out the new place! Love the enomatic machines (we miss you N2!), and we tried two plates from the happy hour food menu - the daily cheese tray (a nutty, hard Gouda and fig/strawberry jam, nice!) and a margherita flatbread. Both very tasty, and went perfectly with our wines.

Sept 2019:

I came here with two friends for dinner to celebrate their birthdays, and we kicked off the night with the below cheese board. It was delicious!

I ordered the scallops over corn buerre blanc, yum!

My friends each ordered the tilefish in chorizo ragu, also tasty.

No birthday celebration is complete without cake, amirite?!

And of course, plenty of vino!
