I am not a huge fan of pop tarts, because I do not like that overly processed chalky taste, but when I saw a recipe for homemade pop tarts using rolled pie dough and organic strawberry preserves, I was intrigued. I love making breakfast type baked goods over the weekend, and I had just finished a batch of strawberry lemon muffins, so I was looking for something new.
